
The Special Court has decided to continue the measure of arrest in prison for Ismail Zeneli, who was recently extradited from Spain on account of Albanian justice.
According to SPAK, Ismail Zeneli is suspected of coordinating with his associates, as well as providing information on the location with the aim of killing citizens Albert Nela and Edmond Nela, in Britain as a sign of revenge against his brother, Xhem Krasniqi, who was killed in sight of his in Great Britain in 2013. Former crime boss Dedan Gjoni was also part of this group, who served criminal interests, even providing information on subjects they aimed to eliminate.
According to SPAK, Zeneli coordinates with his associates for the trafficking of narcotics from South American countries to the main European ports, especially in Valencia/Spain.
The Special Court in November 2023 has set the measure of security "Arrest in prison" for this citizen for committing the criminal offenses "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", "Trafficking in narcotic substances" committed in a special form of cooperation, that of "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization or structured criminal group".
On November 20, 2023, the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) issued 11 arrest warrants to attack the structured criminal group. Out of these arrest warrants, only 4 of them were executed, the arrest of Erzen Breçan, former director of the Tirana Police, Dedan Gjoni, chief of crimes at Police Station number 6, Bujar Ajezi, Besmir Murati, who were left in prison by GJKKO. At the beginning of this August, SPAK closed the investigations and took the file for trial to GJKKO, while Erzen Breçani is being tried under security measure 'house arrest'.
