"I want to be accepted as I am...", the last message of the

A 17-year-old girl was found dead in her apartment a few days ago, and the Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office has launched investigations into the serious incident.

The girl Irsa M. stood alone on the first bench of the 10th grade C, at the "Siri Shapllo" high school.

According to reports, she had no company and remained withdrawn. Her close friend had transferred to another high school in Gjirokastra a few months ago.

The teenager kept a short diary on her phone, where she wrote mostly in English. In those few lines, she expressed her concern about being rejected by society.

"I want society to accept me as I am. Otherwise, I will be forced to change friends. I don't want to be judged for my clothing and behavior. I am who I am!" was the note found on the girl's phone, reports shqiptarja.com.

The phone, along with these notes, has been seized as evidence by the Gjirokastra Prosecution Office, which suspects that bullying at school led the 17-year-old to commit suicide.

Sources from the prosecution said that students, teachers, psychologists have been questioned and all have denied the fact that Irsa has fallen victim to bullying. However, the prosecution is expected to receive the testimony of two other girls today, friends of the deceased who may shed light on the causes of the suicide.

While other sources said that the teenager who hanged herself with a rope in her apartment was a practicing believer who always lit candles in the Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. A believer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that on Monday, February 10, when she ended her life, Irsa Muçollari had lit the last three candles.
