The remains of Sibora Gagan, the Albanian girl missing since 2014 when she was 22 years old, have been found in Spain. On Tuesday, the National Police located the body of Sibora Gagan in the apartment she shared with her murderous partner Marco Romeo in Torremolinos (Málaga). Romeo was arrested at the end of May for the murder of another girl, Paula, his ex-partner, in the same city, investigation sources told EFE.
Exactly the search for Sibora Gagan, resumed after the arrest in May of the murderer and her suspected ex-partner, Marco Romeo, for the murder of the other woman with whom he also had a relationship.
After his arrest for the murder of his ex-partner, Marco Romeo confessed to killing and walling Gagan after seeing an image of him on a notice board at the police station stating that he had used acid to dispose of the body.
The same sources have informed that the agents found Gagan's remains in a garbage bag behind a wall of her apartment in Torremolinos, where the young woman lived with the arrested until a few days before the disappearance and which is located on García de la Serna Street, a few meters away from the local police station and the town hall.
The police had searched the Torremolinos apartment several times without success, where other tenants currently live, who cooperated with the agents throughout.
The remains found have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Malaga to confirm that they belong to the missing young woman through DNA analysis.
Sibora Gagani moved with her boyfriend Marco Romeo to the Costa del Sol in 2011 and disappeared on July 7, 2014, shortly after ending her relationship with him. Since then, her family, who live in Italy, have not known her whereabouts. The investigation into her disappearance resumed just days ago, after Marco Romeo was arrested after stabbing his ex-partner Paula, 28, to death in another house in Torremolinos. After hearing this news, Sibora's relatives suspected that he had something to do with her disappearance, as it turned out in the end.
In 2015, the police came to ask for the citizens' cooperation in finding the girl, and the "Missing SOS" association distributed her image in an effort to locate Sibora.
