Mariglen Topuzi, a person with a criminal record and a member of the criminal group in this area led by Ilir Berberi or as he is otherwise known as "Lili i Rrushka", was arrested by the police station of Pogradec.
According to police information, Mariglen Topuzi is a close social connection of Meardi Berber or as he is otherwise known in Pogradec with the nickname "Koro..." and Laert Haxhiut from Lushnja, recently arrested in Ioannina, Greece.
"Ora News" learns that Topuzi's arrest was carried out three days ago, after a report was made to the police by a girl who claimed that she was constantly harassed and threatened by Mariglen Topuzi.
Initially, the latter was escorted to the premises of the Pogradec police, being warned by the blue uniforms to stay away from the girl. But after being released, Mariglen Topuzi not only did not give up stalking the girl, but began to threaten and intimidate the girl who had reported her to the police.
Threats have come over the phone and face-to-face on the street. Based on this situation, the girl again filed a second complaint with the Pogradec police, causing Mariglen Topuzi to be arrested this time.
Topuzi is expected to appear before the court of Korça today, where he will be recognized with the security measure "arrest in prison", a measure requested by the representative of the prosecution.
Topuzi is considered by the police as a person with a criminal record and an individual who belongs to a criminal faction in the city of Pogradec.
Topuzi is convicted for "Destruction of property by fire", after he burned Johan Muçllari's car in Pogradec. He has other convictions for various criminal offenses.
The conflict between young people has its origin as early as 2017, when in Pogradec Johan Muçllari was attacked and threatened with a firearm, by Meardi Berberi (Korua), Andra Piliçin and Mariglen Topuzi.
While it continued in the burning of Muçllari's car, an event for which Mariglen Topuzi was arrested and sentenced.
Criminal events intensified in August 2020, where on August 1 and 8, the "Voloreka" hotel in Drilon, which is owned by Jetmir Muçllari, Johan's father, was attacked with 85 bullets.
While the situation escalated with the attempted murder of Johan Muçllari, this event happened in April 2022, where the defendant was Firdeus Berberi and 6 other people.
Recently, Firdeus Berberi was arrested in Ioannina, Greece together with Laert Haxhiu from Lushnja. For Berber, the Korca prosecutor's office has sent a letter to Greece, requesting his extradition to Albania.
