The death of Bledar Dedja, the 39-year-old Albanian who lived in Asolo (Treviso), who was found murdered with a knife on Sunday morning in the woods of Paderno del Grappa, happened late on Saturday afternoon.
As it is expected that an autopsy will be performed on the victim's body, the first examination of the authorities shows that his body was exposed to the low temperatures of the night.
According to what the Italian media reports, one thing is certain, the murder of the 39-year-old did not happen because of an attempt to rob him. The wallet and all personal belongings were not even touched by the killer.
This is confirmed by the prosecutor of Treviso, Marco Martani, who, although reserved in providing details, confirms that the victim's last phone calls are being analyzed, including the conversation he had with his sister-in-law at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
The carabinieri have also questioned the family members and friends of the 39-year-old. The main thing for them is to find out who he would meet on Saturday afternoon. One of the leads that investigators seem to be focusing on the most is a crime of passion, likely even after he was found with his pants down.
The crime weapon, a knife that was used to stab the victim at least 15 times, is also being sought. The fatal blow was in the lungs, while there are many wounds he received in his hands in an attempt to defend himself. During this attempt, he also grabbed the knife with his hands.
The area where the killing took place is not covered by public safety cameras. The only hope is that the victim's Mercedes car was caught on one of the private cameras installed by private houses in the area, which may have captured the moment when Dedja arrived in Paderno. It may also reveal whether the victim was alone or in the company of someone.
