A serious incident occurred today in Gjirokastra where a minor drowned in a swimming pool.
According to information, the private swimming pool 'Glow', where the serious incident occurred, is owned by Ermal Koko, the husband of the deputy mayor.
The 15-year-old has been identified as Arbër Peçi. According to police, the minor suffered a heart attack while swimming in the pool and died as a result.
Authorities are working to fully investigate the case.
"Gjirokastër/Preliminary information. At around 10:00, in the village of Mashkullorë, in a holiday complex, a 15-year-old is suspected of having suffered a heart attack while swimming in the pool and consequently lost his life.
"The investigation team continues to work to fully document the circumstances of the case," the police announced.
