A serious incident was recorded on the stoma day in the city of Korça. A woman was presented to the Korca hospital with multiple burns on her body and it is suspected that her husband painted her with fuel and then set her on fire.
Bledar Trëndafili (husband) went near the rented apartment where his ex-wife Melisa Trëndafili lived and committed the serious act.
According to preliminary information, it is learned that the couple was in the process of divorce, while the police of Korça are looking for the suspected perpetrator, since he left the apartment after the incident.
The woman's condition is serious and she is expected to head to the capital for more specialized treatment.

Around 16:30, in neighborhood no. 2, Korçë, on the street, citizen BT, 45 years old, tried to burn his wife (in the process of divorce and currently living apart), citizen MT, 31 years old, with gasoline.
The citizen BT, after throwing fuel on the body of the citizen MT and lighting it, quickly left.
As a result, the MT citizen suffered burns on her body and was immediately sent to the hospital for medical assistance.
The Police Services have been in pursuit of the 45-year-old. The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances and the legal documentation of the case. In the meantime, the Police services are continuing the checks to catch the perpetrator.
