" Regarding the event that happened around 11:45 p.m., on 26.09.2023, in Katund, Sukth, where still unidentified citizens shot with firearms, in the direction of the vehicle driven by citizen TD (M.), 37 years old, resident of Katund, Sukth, who as a result lost his life in the hospital, we inform you that:
As soon as they received the notification, the Durrës Police services and 2 groups of FNSH, Tirana, arrived at the scene and set up checkpoints on all axes related to the area, with the aim of catching the perpetrators. In addition, the investigative group, set up specifically to clarify this case, has continued its work, under the direction of the prosecutor, to record any evidence that will lead to the clarification of the event and the identification of the perpetrators.
The Police Services, under the direction of the prosecutor, have carried out all investigative and procedural actions for the case. Specifically, until now, 7 citizens have been escorted to the Police premises to be questioned about the circumstances of this event (among them the citizen E. Sh., a passenger in the vehicle driven by the 37-year-old, at the time of the shooting). , the security cameras with a view from the "Maminas - Shijak - Sukth - Sallmone" road axis (the axis that the citizen TD (M.) had followed) were seized, house checks were carried out, mobile phones were searched, as well as cooperation with the Interpol Tirana Police Department, to identify social connections of the victim or citizens with whom there may have been conflicts, abroad.Also, the vehicle driven by TD (M.) and his 2 mobile phones were seized, and their detailed examination is ongoing.
From the verifications so far carried out in coordination with the Dutch counterparts, it has been found that the citizen TD (M.) has been investigated in this country, for trafficking in narcotics.
The materials for these procedural actions have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further investigations, with the aim of clarifying the dynamics of this event, for the identification and capture of the perpetrators", the Police announced .
