" We have never seen the woman. We knew that an Albanian couple lived here, but we had never seen this girl. We all wondered what was going on inside that house, but there was nothing we could do. We didn't know what was happening ," says a woman, a neighbor of the 22-year-old.
She was dressed from top to bottom, like a hood, she added.
Another neighbor confesses: " I have seen him very rarely. He went out to the garden alone. Two or three times over the years. Not any more. And I was impressed because she was dressed from top to bottom. Like with a hood. I never saw her outside the backyard moving around shopping. And I had never even seen the child."
The 22-year-old woman came to Volos in 2021 after marrying her 28-year-old compatriot, a cruel man who never let her learn Greek because he never allowed her contact with any man.
He beat her because she didn't want a girl

The neighbors stopped him
The neighbors came out of the house and knocked on the doors, while alerting the police with the 28-year-old man, who, realizing that he was not a threat, opened the back door to escape. Neighbors, however, restrained him until the police arrived.
The police arrested him and when they entered the house they saw a mother and daughter as a human mess. The mother who had taken her child in her arms was bleeding and had strangulation marks. The ambulance was immediately called and the woman and the child were taken to the hospital. The 22-year-old woman did not know Greek and with the help of a compatriot, she explained to the doctors and the police that she was caught shortly before she was killed.
