A police officer at the Elbasan Penitentiary Institution, Ndriçim Kroi, the detainee Gerald Stamolla, and a woman, a relative of the latter, Esmeralda Komici, have been placed in handcuffs under the measure of "prison arrest".
Several months of investigations have revealed a collaboration scheme to introduce narcotics into the Elbasan Penitentiary Institution for the purpose of financial gain.
According to sources, the scheme operated in a coordinated manner, where the involvement of the police officer facilitated the introduction of narcotics into the detention facilities, in collaboration with the outsider and the detainee.
The operation was carried out by the Internal Affairs and Complaints Service.

Esmeralda Komici, family member of a detainee
Gerald Stamolla, detainee at the Elbasan Penitentiary Institution
