A 57-year-old man was arrested by the police of Lezha, after he imposed a fine of 3 million new lek on a private business in the name of a senior local official.
The 57-year-old, in cooperation with another unidentified citizen, benefited through fraud of 3,000,000 ALL from the administrator of a private entity, after communicating with him on the "Signal" application, on behalf of the representative of a local institution.
"DVP Lezhë/Finalized in cooperation with the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, the coded police operation "Flop", for uncovering a fraud scheme for the benefit of money from economic operators.
He benefited 3,000,000 ALL from the administrator of a private entity, after communicating with him on behalf of a representative of a local institution, the 57-year-old was put in handcuffs.
Investigations continue to identify and capture other citizens involved in this fraud scheme.
The Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, after the report by a citizen, that they had asked him for a sum of money by means of fraud, through an application, have started investigations with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, for clarifying this case and for identification of the citizens involved. As a result of the investigative actions carried out within the coded police operation "Flop", the following citizen was arrested in the act:
RM, 57 years old, resident in Tirana.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the RM citizen, in cooperation with another unidentified citizen, benefited from ALL 3,000,000 from the administrator of a private entity, after having communicated with him in the "Signal" application, on behalf of the representative of a local institution.
The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Lezhë, for the criminal offense of "Fraud" with serious consequences, carried out in cooperation", the police announced.
