A prostitution 'nest' is discovered in Durrës, wiretapping leads to the arrest of the Brazilian woman, the police open the door with a fire extinguisher
A prostitution den has been discovered by police in Durrës, while a Brazilian citizen has been arrested, who had adapted a rented apartment for the practice of illegal activity.
The operation was carried out by the Trafficking Investigation Section, following a two-week investigation using proactive methods and wiretaps.
Meanwhile, criminal proceedings have been initiated for the criminal offense of 'Prostitution' against 3 Albanian citizens - clients.
The investigation revealed that the 24-year-old from Brazil had rented a premises in neighborhood no. 4 in Durrës, which she had adapted for practicing prostitution and earning monetary income from this activity.
During the intervention, the police encountered resistance, as the Brazilian citizen refused to open the door of the apartment, which was then opened with the help of the fire department.
A passport of a foreign citizen, sums of money suspected of being obtained from prostitution, and two mobile phones were seized as material evidence.
"The Traffic Investigation Section, in cooperation with the operational services of the Durrës DVP, after a 2-week investigation using proactive methods, finalized the 19th phase of the police operation codenamed "Storm".
As a result of the operation, citizen Sh. S., 24 years old, born and residing in Brazil, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
Following the procedural actions, 3 more Albanian citizens were prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
During the operation, as material evidence, 1 passport of a foreign citizen, amounts of money suspected of being obtained from prostitution, and 2 mobile phones were seized.
The investigative actions revealed that the Brazilian citizen, in neighborhood no. 4, Durrës, had rented a premises, which she had adapted for the purpose of engaging in prostitution and obtaining monetary values from this activity.
During the intervention of the Police services, citizen Sh. S. refused to open the door of the room where she was, which was later opened with the help of the fire department.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Durrës, for further action," the police announced.
