Officials of the Customs Supervision of the Tax Agency, in a joint operation with the National Police, have hit the main route of cocaine entry into Spain for the Balkan cartel with the seizure of more than 1700 kilograms of cocaine in the port of Valencia and the arrest of one of its members .
The arrested person had come from Albania to supervise the transaction and has military training and high operational knowledge, according to the statement of the Tax Agency and the National Police.
Cocaine was hidden in seafood containers from Ecuador in various ways, using holes in the refrigerator of the containers, designing false floors on them or hollow beams inside to place the narcotic.
The investigation began when it became known that the network could import sea containers of fruit from Ecuador on a weekly basis that would hide significant quantities of drugs.
