
Klodian Saliaj, the 25-year-old Armenian from Vlora, allegedly stabbed a 73-year-old man 10 times during the attempt to rob him at his home in Greece.
According to the police, Saliaj was accompanied by an 18-year-old compatriot. They broke into the home of the elderly Greek man to rob on Wednesday evening in the Kefalonia area. Both of Albanian origin, they first broke the glass of the house of Agia Efimia, where the 25-year-old entered the house and the 18-year-old Jordan Bejaj acted as a guard.
When the 73-year-old entered his house, the 25-year-old attacked him with a knife, hitting him about 10 times in the stomach and shoulder. The two robbers then left.
The victim managed to get out into the street bleeding and call for help. The 73-year-old was first taken to the Argostoli hospital where he underwent an operation and was then transported by helicopter to the University Hospital of Ioannina.
The two Albanians were arrested yesterday afternoon by the security forces of Argostoli and the Kefalonia Crime Prevention and Suppression Team. They stayed without documents in the Greek state
