The police have given details about the incident that happened in the center of the city of Fier, where a 26-year-old man was injured.
According to the information, the conflict started because the police did not allow the 20-year-old to pass with his vehicle on a road that was blocked due to the concert that was held in the center of the city. Then the 26-year-old got out of the vehicle and punched the police officer in the face and mouth.
In these conditions, the officer with the initials Sh.J was forced to take out his service weapon and shot the 26-year-old in the leg in self-defense. After the conflict, both the 26-year-old and the officer were sent to the hospital to receive medical assistance.
After receiving first aid, the officer was escorted to the Police Station for further action. The case has been taken over by the AMP, which at the end of the investigations will come out with a notification about the case.
Fier /Preliminary information/ Around 19:20, in the place called "Ish globi", in the center of the planned city with services, the Police services had blocked a road segment for the development of a concert. Citizen D. B, 26 years old, driving a "Volkswagen" type vehicle, approached the Police officers and tried to enter the blocked road.
Police officers did not allow him to enter the security perimeter and at that moment the citizen DB got out of the vehicle and punched him in the face, causing serious injuries to his face and mouth. Inspector Sh. J., in the conditions of self-defense, shot with the service weapon, injuring citizen DB in the leg
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services intervened and immediately sent the DB citizen to the hospital for medical assistance, who is out of danger.
In the meantime, he was accompanied to the hospital for medical assistance and the police officer, citizen Sh. J. and after receiving medical aid was accompanied to the Police Station for further action.
All actions are being carried out by the Police Supervision Agency under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office to avoid conflict of interest. At the end of the investigative actions, AMP will provide extended information about this event ," the police announced.
