Two people tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Kukës. A vehicle traveling on Rruga e Kombit, very close to the Gostil roundabout, went off the road and crashed into a side sign.
The victims have been identified as Afrim Kolgjini, 50, and Festim Gjeta, 35. It is initially suspected that the cause of the accident was driving beyond the permitted speed limits and the presence of moisture on the road.
"Around 23:35, on 01.04.2025, on the Milot-Morinë highway, a "Benz" type vehicle, driven by a 50-year-old man, resident of Tirana, went off the road.
As a result, the driver of the vehicle and the passenger in the vehicle, a resident of Kukës, lost their lives.
"The investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances and cause of the vehicle's veer off the road," the police announced.
