Today's court hearing against Dritan Rexhepi for the kidnapping and disappearance of Jan Prenga has been postponed.

Today's hearing was postponed due to the absence of Gentian Funiqi's lawyer. The next hearing will be held on April 16, at 2:00 PM.

In today's hearing against Aldo Majnishta, Gentian Funiqi, Martin Belta, Korado Geshtenja, Artan Doçaj and Geraldo Martini, Festim Bexhdili, a co-defendant in a related proceeding, would testify.

Bexhdili was sentenced to life imprisonment in the First Instance Court for the kidnapping and disappearance of Jan Prenga, an event that occurred on January 17, 2020. Meanwhile, the trial for Festim Bexhdili continues at the Special Court of Appeals.

In November 2020, SPAK explained that the investigation had resulted in the defendants Dritan alias Gromos Rexhepi and Gentjan Funiqi (Doçaj), with criminal records in the field of narcotics, having ordered the kidnapping of the victim Jani Prenga in Kamëz on January 17, 2020, at the end of December 2019.

Also accused as accomplices in the kidnapping and disappearance of Prenga are Martin Bleta, Korado Keshteja, Artan Doçaj, Aldo Majnishta, Geraldo Martini and Altin Hajri, the latter the owner of the "Golden Resort" complex in Shijak, where Jan Prenga was kidnapped and last seen.

His kidnapping is suspected to have taken place after Astrit Prenga, the victim's brother, had stolen a quantity of cocaine in Portsmouth, England, that belonged to them, which had been imported from Ecuador to England.
