
A person was arrested in Greece and extradited to our country. The police say that it is about citizen Kujtim Demiri, who has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being accused of trafficking minors and forcing them to beg.
According to the police, Demiri was wanted internationally by Interpol Tirana since January 6, 2018, after the Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
Kujtim Demiri bought the minor child HS for 10 thousand new lek and used it to beg in Greece under the influence of violence.

On 20.08.2024, after an intensive cooperation and exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Athens, the arrest and extradition from Greece of citizen Kujtim Demiri was carried out.
This citizen was declared an international wanted by Interpol Tirana on 06.01.2018, after the Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes, with the decision of 01.02.2010, sentenced him to 15 years in prison for the criminal offense "Trafficking of minors ”, provided by article 128/b/2, of the Criminal Code.
According to the decision, citizen Kujtim Demiri took the minor child HS from Albania to Greece and used him to beg in Greece under the influence of violence.
