
The Italian police have arrested Gjovalin Lesi, sentenced to life imprisonment, who killed his sister and son-in-law.

Gjovalin Lesi has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court of the Mirdita Judicial District, for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder" and Possession of weapons without a permit.
" Following international operations, finalized as a result of very good cooperation with partners, with the objective of locating, arresting and extraditing the nationals declared internationally wanted, in Matera, Italy, as a result of the immediate exchange of information provided by The Department of the Criminal Police in the DPPSH, with the Police of Matera, an exchange carried out with the coordination of the Italian Interforce Office, the Office of Italian Security Experts, in Albania, and the Service for International Police Cooperation - 2nd Division, Rome, was finalized the coded police operation "Verdict".
During this operation, the internationally wanted citizen Gjovalin Lesi, 55 years old, born in Rubik, was located and arrested for the purpose of extradition to Albania.

On 21.10.1997, in Rubik, after a conflict for weak motives, he killed Kalashnikov firearms, his brother-in-law and his sister, namely citizens A. Gj. and M. Gj..
