Investigations to unravel the dynamics of yesterday's tragedy in Këlcyre, where 7 foreign immigrants and the Albanian driver lost their lives, have entered a new phase.
On behalf of the Gjirokastër Police and Prosecutor's Office, Agustin Gjeta, 26, from the city of Shkodra, was arrested today, and Ramazan Dekovi, 23, from Shkodra, was detained. Both of these people are accused of the criminal offense 298/3 of the Criminal Code, for "assistance in illegal border crossing".
Meanwhile, after 10 hours of the activation of the group of criminologists and forensic specialists who arrived from the capital, Report TV learns that the identity of 3 of the 8 victims of yesterday's accident has been revealed, while for the others it has been impossible to discover the identity of theirs.
It is known that the age of the victims who were found on board the destroyed Mercedes-Benz is under 30 years old and all the clandestines were Pakistani. For the unidentified victims, we are cooperating with Interpol.
