Sentenced to over 7 years in prison, Albanian arrested in Bolzano

A 37-year-old Albanian man, sentenced to over 7 years in prison, has been arrested by Italian police in Bolzano.

The arrest came after an arrest warrant issued by the Milan Prosecutor's Office, and he was sentenced to 7 years and 4 months in prison for crimes related to drug trafficking and stalking.

The Albanian had been one of the wanted men in "Operation BESA", carried out in 2020 by the Trento District Anti-Mafia Directorate, after which, in 2022, he was convicted of criminal organization aimed at drug trafficking in Bolzano and Merano.
