Sentenced in Italy to 22 years in prison for murder, the Albanian is arrested after 13 years in Ioannina

A 48-year-old Albanian, convicted of murder in Italy in 2011, was arrested in Ioannina.

He was declared an international wanted man and was placed in handcuffs yesterday afternoon in Ioannina.

The Italian authorities had issued an arrest warrant for him in 2021, for the criminal offenses of murder and serious injury.

The Albanian was sentenced in the neighboring country to 22 years and 8 months in prison.
