40-year-old Entjan Nikulaj was executed with a Kalashnikov type firearm yesterday evening in a well-organized assassination attempt in Lezhë. The event took place around 21:30 in the evening of December 2 on the road axis Milot-Lezhë in the guarded place "Train Bridge" at the entrance of the city.
The target of the gun attack was Entjan Nikulaj, a relative of Ardian Nikulaj, the businessman killed on April 19 of this year in the bar owned by him in Shengjin.
The 40-year-old man was shot with a barrage of bullets while driving his four-wheel drive vehicle ML in the direction of Lezhë. From the gunshots, Nikulaj was initially seriously injured but died a few minutes later in the emergency room of the Lezha Regional Hospital, as he could not survive the injuries received in several parts of his body.
Meanwhile, about 60 minutes after the event, a vehicle was found burning near Rinas, inside which there was also an automatic firearm. Referring to the footage of the security cameras in the place where the event took place, it turns out that this gray BMW car with license plates reported stolen in Tirana was used by the perpetrators in the assassination of 40-year-old Entjan Nikulaj. In relation to the incident, the police escorted and interrogated several people, while about 25 automatic cartridges were seized as material evidence. The main track of the investigations is that of the blood feud between the Nikulaj and Lekstakaj tribes, where 40-year-old Entjan Nikulaj is the third victim in the space of a few months, after the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj in July, Nikolin Lekstakaj was executed by gunfire in Balldre. .
The murder of Ardian Nikulaj
At noon on April 19, businessman Ardian Nikulaj was shot with 7 bullets while sitting in his bar, while the executioner left on a motorcycle. According to the prosecution, Edmond Haxhia was the orderer and organizer of the assassination attempt on businessman Nikulaj, for revenge. The four people who were caught and arrested in Britain after being declared wanted in Albania are Steven Hunt, 49, Thomas Mithan, 35, both from Bristol, Edmond Haxhia, 37, from Birmingham, as well as the 27-year-old Harriet Bridgeman of Bristol.
They arrived in Albania as tourists, but in fact they acted as observers of the businessman, informing the author until the final blow. One of them, Steven Hunt, stayed for several days at the "Coral" hotel owned by Nikulaj, where it is thought that he managed to penetrate the security camera system, giving the group the opportunity to observe the businessman's movements in real time.
