That of death, which would not be delayed, which had long been predetermined, by those who were already his enemies, whom he had apparently underestimated. Or, he had not expected that their revenge would come so close and the blow would come right at his bar. There, as soon as he set foot, behind the apartment, he felt safer than anywhere. But according to an old aphorism, you often make calculations in this world, it is said that if you don't make them yourself, in the end they always make your ghosts. As it happened that morning, September 27, 2023.
When he quietly left his apartment in Rrëshen and sat down at one of the tables in his bar, not far from the city center. Shadows that apparently had been added a lot recently even for Martin Bardhi. Not knowing that this would be his last coffee and that his life would be cut short by the long barrage of bullets that rained down on him. Leaving him dead on the spot. But also towards the people who accompanied him at that moment in the cafe. But who was Martin Bardhi who also held the generals Marjan Marku? And why did he return to the shooting table, for those whose authorship is still unknown today?
That the police have their own suspicions that his murder is related to another incident that happened not long ago in this small town in the north of the country, but very disturbed by the frequent purges that have taken place between the two families, which have marked numerous records of eliminations between each other, both inside and outside Albania. What is this collision that is thought to have led to the end of Martin White? And is it precisely this carnage over the years between the two tribes that served as the motive for the subsequent murder of the 59-year-old? The show "In the Saint" by Klodiana Lala on News24, sheds light on the investigation file on the incident.
"On September 26, 2023, around 10:40 a.m., we were informed by the operating room of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate that in the town of Rrëshen-Mirditë, the citizen Marjan Marku (alias) Martin Bardhi, the son of Mark and i Dile, born on October 6, 1963, born and resident in Ndreffushas-Mirditë, as well as citizens Indrit Bardhi, about 45 years old, who received four gunshot wounds in the body and one in the leg, Arjol Gjinaj, about 40 years old, were injured. , who has a gunshot wound on his back and Ilir Bardhoku, about 50 years old, who has a gunshot wound on his right forearm, explained the police.
So, as after the preliminary notification of the Lezhë police, at the time of the assassination, Martin Bardhi was sitting at the table, in his bar, in the presence of three other people, who also did not escape the fury of the bullets that rushed that morning to the cafe not far from the center of the small town of Rrëshen. Fortunately, even though Martin Bardhi's three companions were injured by this incident, they were able to escape their injuries, a fate that the target of the assassination did not have, who died at the scene.
"Immediately after the event, the injured were urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, for more specialized medical assistance. Meanwhile, police services were immediately dispatched to the scene of the incident, which secured the scene of the crime, as well as several checkpoints were set up on the main and secondary roads in order to apprehend the perpetrators of the crime," the file states .
Of course, this was not the first serious event that happened in this small town of Albania, which had often turned into a bloody arena of armed clashes, so much so that it had shocked even the demography of the city itself. This time, the police was satisfied only with the documentation of the scene.
"Around 11.05, a notification was received that a vehicle was burning in the place called Gëziq-Mirditë, where immediately in the direction of the place where the burning vehicle was located, the fire services started," the file states .

“Pasi u verifikua targa e mjetit në sistemin E-Gjoba të Policisë së Shtetit, rezultoi këto targa i përkisnin automjetit ‘Volkswagen’ Golf TDI, në pronësi të shtetasit Ronaldo Daci dhe ishin shpallur në kërkim si targë e vjedhur nga Komisariati i Policisë Krujë, më datë 31 Dhjetor 2021”, thuhet në dosje.
