The Tirana police have seized several security cameras, including that of a gas station near the Selita area in connection with the failed assassination attempt on Zamir Kalemi a few days ago. Sources close to the investigation group informed that the assassins stopped near the area where they allegedly waited for Kalem's vehicle in order to carry out the assassination.
For the investigative group, the images obtained show how Kalem's Smart vehicle passes and behind it is the Nissan car belonging to the perpetrators, which was stolen in Greece, while its license plates are in Albania.
Also, after interrogating the 40-year-old, the investigators managed to detail his movements over several days in order to be able to seize other film footage of businesses that could help identify the perpetrators.
Zamiri is the brother of Andrea Kalemi, suspected of being the author of the murder of Edmond Papa, a year ago in Selitë. Both of them are cousins of Aleksandër Sadikaj, who was killed through a remote-controlled explosion of his vehicle in June 2022, an event that still remains unsolved.
Beginning after the execution of Sadikaj, 6 months later, in Tirana, in the area of Selita, the businessman Edmond Papa was killed. For the event, Albano Velo is in handcuffs and Andrea Bode is wanted, both friends of the Kalemi brothers.
For this reason, the police suspect that the killing of the Pope was the revenge of Sanco, as they knew Aleksandar Sadikaj. Although the main suspicions are about revenge, so far the police only have the burned Nissan vehicle of the perpetrators and the car that was fired at Kalem.
