The trial against Emiljano Shullazi, Viktor Imeraj, Lulzim Berisha, Plaurent Dervishaj, Indri Taullaut and Indri Rusi for the 2005 murders of Klodian Saliu and Vajdin Lame has caused strong debates on the psycho-legal expertise of the associate justice, Luftar Reçi.
In this Monday's session, the two experts from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, who examined Reçi's condition at the request and decision of SPAK, will appear as witnesses.
In the 2022 examination, the experts in question determined that Luftar Reçi is responsible for what he declared.
The lawyers of the defendants argued fiercely with the doctors, remembering that there was another expert report on the co-worker in 2013, where he turned out to be depressed and unreliable.
In this context, they sought a new expertise with psychology professors, psychiatrist professors, and even foreign experts to assess his mental state.
Viktor Imeraj took the floor addressing the experts in the session:
"Ladies s'mbakan mend, don't suffer from sclerosis, tell us to give you medicine?"
After attention was drawn, Imeraj was fined 5,000 ALL.
Then Emiljano Shullazi took the floor, telling the two experts:
"How is it possible that in a 50-minute interview, you came to conclusions about him, while we here for 4 hours, when we faced each other, could not understand it?"
The other defendant, Indrit Rusi, asked one of the doctors:
"Did you work in 2016 in the detention center of Durrës?"
The doctor answered yes.
The Russian said:
"Remember me, that I had an infection in my gums, you told me you had bad tonsils."
The lawyers also claimed that the expertise for Luftar Reçi from IML was carried out under the pressure of SPAK and that the doctors were aware that he was an associate of justice.
