The former head of the crime investigation in Elbasan, Leonard Palushi, files an appeal in the Supreme Court.
He contests the decision of the Special Court of Appeal for Crime and Corruption and seeks to be acquitted. GJKKO upheld the sentence of 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment, but due to the shortened trial, the final sentence against him was 2 years and 4 months.
The former crime chief of Elbasan has been found guilty of "corruption". According to SPAK investigations, Palushi received a "Mercedes Benz" vehicle from Erion Alibej, in exchange for diverting the investigation into the murder of Emiliano Ramazan.
At the same time, SPAK demanded seizure of the vehicle and removal of the right to exercise public functions for 5 years.
We remind you that Palushi was arrested as part of the 'Golden Bullet' operation after he was suspected of tampering with evidence in several criminal events, when he served as an officer in Elbasan.
According to SPAK, in 2020, Palushi established relations with the investigator Erjon Alibej and indirectly received irregular benefits from him.
