Dressed in police uniforms and presenting themselves as employees of blue uniforms, 3 people tried to rob the apartment of an elderly couple in the village of Prush in Tirana with firearms.
It was the neighbors of the elderly couple who notified the police, who immediately arrived at the scene, not giving the robbers time to finalize their plan.
Put in this situation and in front of many police forces, the 3 perpetrators opened fire in the direction of the blue uniforms, with the latter responding with firearms.
Taking advantage of this situation, the robbers managed to leave, but without taking anything from the apartment of the elderly couple.
Sources close to the investigative group indicate that the perpetrators left in a white Audi vehicle.
In order to identify and capture them, the police have set up numerous checkpoints at the entrances and exits of the capital.
Hope for the investigators are the cameras in the area where the robbery took place, as well as the traces that the perpetrators may have left in the apartment of the elderly couple that they failed to rob.
