A 29-year-old man was arrested after stealing a mobile phone and a bag with personal belongings of a tourist from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Durrës.

The young man was wanted by the Tirana police, accused of 4 murders.

"The police operation coded "Saga" is finalized, for the arrest of a citizen with a significant record for theft in several counties.

He stole a vehicle in neighborhood no. 13 and went towards Elbasan, he was caught and arrested within a few hours, as a result of cooperation with the Elbasan Police, the 29-year-old.

On the same day, the 29-year-old stole a mobile phone and the bag with personal belongings of a tourist from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a hotel in district no. 14.

The arrested person was wanted by the Tirana Police for 4 thefts.

As a result of the immediate reaction after the reports of 2 citizens that on 14.08.2024, their vehicle and personal belongings were stolen, the Durrës Police Station identified the perpetrator and as a result of the exchange of information and coordination of work with the Elbasan Police, it was possible within a few hours his arrest, during the attempt to leave with the vehicle he had stolen.

Specifically, as part of the "Saga" operation, citizen TH, 29 years old, resident of Skrapar, was detained. Yesterday, in neighborhood no. 13, he stole the vehicle and mobile phone of citizen A. Sh., while in a hotel in neighborhood no. 14, stole the bag with money and personal belongings of a tourist from Bosnia and Herzegovina, AT citizens. Also, further verifications showed that the 29-year-old was wanted by the Tirana Police for 4 thefts.

Cars, two phones, a gold medallion, a perfume, glasses that are suspected to have benefited from this activity are seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further actions", announced the police.
