The suspected author of the murder of Eglantin Proga, Denis Meçe, is not the first to be handcuffed. A few hours after the murder, he turned himself in at the police station in order to testify and clarify his position in the presence of the lawyer.
The journalist, Dorjana Bezat learns that before this case, Denis Meçe was arrested 5 times for various criminal offences. He was arrested the first time when he was only 19 years old after a fight in a bar by Lake Ohrid.
Where, after refusing to pay a large bill, he had a conflict with the bar staff and they denounced him for "Destruction of property".
Two years later, he was banned for the criminal offense of threatening, in 2020 for "Slight injury with intent" and in 2022 for "Disturbance of public peace" and "Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer".
Denis Meçe has a previous criminal record for "Destruction of property", "Intimidation", "Intentional light injury", "Disruption of public peace", "Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer", Criminal offenses committed in 2014 , 2016, 2020 and 2022.
Meanwhile, in the divulged decision dated August 13 of the judge of Korça, Luljeta Kole, it is revealed that Meçe slept in the car after leaving the scene. Then, after it was mentioned, he called the lawyer and asked him to accompany him to the police station.
In the court session, it was learned that through his lawyer, he offered a property guarantee of 1 million ALL, but it was rejected.
