A 59-year-old sentenced to 6 years in prison for illegal transportation of immigrants from Third Countries was arrested in Berat.

The arrest of Agron Ymeraj, a wanted person, was carried out as a result of controls within the mega-operation "Rule of Law" and based on information from police intelligence, Berat police informed today. 

The Criminal Panel of the Supreme Court has sentenced this citizen to 6 years of imprisonment for the criminal offense of "Aiding illegal border crossing".

Agron Ymeraj will be handed over to the services of DVP Durrës, General Directorate of Prisons, to serve the remaining part of the sentence, 8 months and 21 days of imprisonment.
