Two young men have been arrested by the Tirana police, after trying to deceive a businessman, presenting themselves as representatives of a public figure.
According to the police, A. Gj., 19 years old, RB, 25 years old, both residents of Elbasan, were arrested. A FL citizen, 25 years old, was also declared wanted.
According to the police, these citizens tried to deceive a businessman, introducing himself to him as a representative of a public figure, in order to benefit from the sum of 50,000 euros.
Thus, 8,250 euros, 25,000 ALL, 1 vehicle and 1 mobile device were seized.
"They tried to get a large amount of money from a citizen (businessman), through fraud (by pretending to be a representative of a public person), 2 citizens were put in handcuffs. The work to catch their accomplice continues. 8250 euros are seized, 25,000 ALL, 1 vehicle and 1 mobile device.
The Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, following the work to combat criminal activities in the field of economic crimes, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Repeat", for the identification, capture and imprisonment of several citizens who, in cooperation with each other, had tried to deceive a citizen, in order to benefit from him, of a large amount of money.
As a result of this operation, citizens A. Gj., 19 years old, RB, 25 years old, both residents of Elbasan, were arrested. A FL citizen, 25 years old, was also declared wanted.
These citizens have attempted to deceive a citizen (businessman), presenting themselves to him as a representative of a public figure, in order to benefit from the sum of 50,000 euros. As material evidence, 8,250 euros, 25,000 ALL, 1 vehicle and 1 mobile device were seized. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions," the police announced.
