Jakup Shahu had an extramarital affair with the victim's wife Arjan Mejdani. This relationship was initially discovered by the author's wife, who asked the victim's wife for an explanation, as according to her, she was the one who depended on her husband. According to the witnesses, who were questioned by the police, the wife of the suspect Jakup Shahu, a week before the incident, went to the victim's bar, where the murder took place, and started arguing with the wife of Arjan Mejdani, accusing her of that he had taken her husband. There, the conflict started between the two wives, first with words and then they started hitting each other with hard objects.
During this debate, the members of the victim's family were also present, who intervened, temporarily ending the violence between them. The fight has continued almost every day. According to witnesses, both women, whenever they met on the street or in a bar, fought with each other, grabbing each other's hair, until other people went to separate them. The victim Arjan Mejdani was made aware of this ongoing conflict, who was told by his relatives, but also by other residents of the neighborhood who had seen the constant fights between his wife and the author's wife.
After hearing the version of his wife, with whom he had 3 children, Mejdani went to meet the suspect Jakup Shahu, who lived near Mejdani's house. Arguing with him, Shah's wife intervened, who also narrated the story of betrayal by her husband and the victim's wife. This debate took place two days before the serious event took place on Wednesday evening. According to sources from the investigative group, this was also the cause of the debate that started before the weapons were used.
Initially, the victim and the injured started to argue with the two perpetrators in their bar and then they took out their weapons from a car that was parked in front of the bar and started shooting at them, where Arjani died 15 minutes after arriving in the Trauma hospital and two of his family members were injured.
