The Tirana court has left in force 9 security measures for 8 employees of the police station of Rinas and Eneo Sulejmani.
This Thursday, the Tirana court assessed the conditions for the appointment of measures, where inspector Briken Tereziu, with the duties of Assistant Specialist, controller at Rinas Airport, was assigned to prison in absentia for the criminal offense "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions". The house arrest order has been executed for Sokol Xhika, Ermal Mesi, Aris Drini, while 'compulsion to appear' has been issued for Ylli Prençi, Rei Shenjtolli, Enkis Aliaj, Argil Hasa.
Eneo Sulejmani asked the court for a milder security measure as he was arrested earlier with 1 kg of cocaine and was in prison, from whose cell phone the criminal activity with travelers from Rinas airport was discovered. Meanwhile, one of the affectives with mandatory appearance, claimed that most of their cases and actions were administrative and not criminal violations.
In cooperation with each other, these citizens enabled the passage of persons who were prohibited from entering the territory of the European Union countries through the Rinas Airport. The owner of the "Bus Albania" agency, Enea Sulejmani, had contact with the assistant specialist/controller at the Rinas Airport Border Police Station, Briken Tereziu. Through his agency, in addition to the benefits from the tickets sold to citizens, Sulejmani acted as an intermediary for those who had problems with the travel ban in the Schengen area.
He sends the data of the persons who bought tickets in this agency, for preliminary verification of the records in the TIMS system, if they meet the conditions to travel to the EU countries, and informing them case by case about the problems they have . According to the investigations carried out by the prosecutor Bledar Valiakj, after these persons are verified in advance by Terezi, or his social connections/police employee, instructions were given on the cabin where they should be presented for data processing and monetary values in exchange for permission to travel and the form of their delivery.
Depending on the problem, for cases in which persons have returned to the INAD or deportee category from EU countries, the police officer Briken Tereziu gives instructions on the travel itinerary that the passenger must carry out, setting as the initial destination the airports of the countries that are not in the EU and then making transit flights to EU countries.
In relation to the cases that have other problems, depending on them, monetary values are determined in exchange for allowing the passage, which vary from 50 euros (for people who do not have any problems, but are deceived by them) to the values of 500 euros or more for those who have type problems, they are not allowed to travel as they are returned to the Inad or sports category from other EU member states.
