A serious road accident was recorded in the early hours of this morning, on the Lezhë-Milot axis.
The incident occurred at around 04:30, when a vehicle collided with a truck. As a result of the collision, the driver of the car, a citizen from Kosovo, lost his life on the spot.
The victim's sister and son were also injured in the accident and were transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. According to doctors, their lives are out of danger and they are receiving the necessary medical treatment.
The truck driver has been escorted by the police for further procedural action.
The investigation team is working to fully clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident.
"Around 04:30, on the Lezhë-Milot road, a truck-type vehicle, driven by citizen AM, collided with a vehicle driven by Kosovo citizen KB."
As a result of the accident, the driver of the vehicle, citizen KB, died at the scene, while his sister, citizen FB, and his son, citizen FB, were transported to the Trauma Hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical assistance and are out of danger to their lives.
The truck driver, citizen AM, has been escorted to the Lezha Police Station, where procedural actions are being carried out.
"The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident," the police announced.
