A prosecutor in Saranda, whose name is not being disclosed, was threatened today in her office. The incident occurred on Monday morning, when two female citizens appeared at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Saranda and requested a meeting with the Prosecutor.
Preliminary sources indicate that the suspects, whose identities have not yet been revealed, are relatives of the victim, a minor, of a criminal offense that occurred in recent days in Saranda, where the Prosecutor had requested the security measure "House Arrest" for the perpetrator.
The suspects, who did not agree with this security measure, today insulted and threatened the willing Prosecutor who issued the measure, within the institution's premises.
Informed of the incident, officers from the Saranda Police Station arrived at the scene and escorted the suspects, from whom statements were taken.
Due to the conflict of interest, the investigation into the incident will continue by the Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of "threatening a judge", provided for in Article 317 of the Criminal Code. The same sources indicate that the main evidence will be the footage of the Saranda Prosecutor's Office, which has already been seized. /Balkanweb
