German authorities have seized 280 kilograms of cocaine trafficked from a South American cargo ship after a raid at the port of Brake, in the Wesermarsch district.
The special forces of the Central Criminal Investigation Department in Oldenburg have arrested 6 people aged 38 to 65, including Romanians, Albanians and Colombians.
Three divers were also arrested on suspicion of attempting to recover cocaine near the port of Brake in northwestern Germany, which is part of the European Union's trans-European transport network. Several people were also arrested on Monday morning after several house searches on suspicion of illegally importing the drug into Germany.
The seized cocaine is worth over 30 million euros.
This operation, carried out on March 3, 2025, is part of a broader investigation aimed at cracking down on international drug networks operating in Europe.
Investigations are continuing, while four of the arrested are being held in custody.
