A 28-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by police in Italy after being caught transporting 30 kilograms of pure cocaine.
It is learned that the operation was carried out three days ago in Monza by patrol carabinieri, who spotted suspicious movements.
The 28-year-old's car, stopped in an isolated area near the ring road, attracted the attention of the carabinieri of the Cologno Monzese station. The officers then decided to inspect and check the vehicle.
26 packages containing a total of approximately 30 kilograms of cocaine were found in the luggage. The Albanian was arrested and, by order of the Monza Prosecutor's Office, was sent to prison, awaiting investigation and trial.
The load was considerable, so investigations are being deepened into an organized drug trafficking network in the area, as the profits are estimated to be millions of euros.
