New details have emerged from the serious incident that occurred this morning in Durrës, where 56-year-old Mikel Ndoj stabbed his 24-year-old daughter, Jessica Ndoj.
It is learned that the injured girl's parents had been divorced for years, while the father lived in Italy and had recently attempted to reunite with the family. It is suspected that the girl refused to join her father or allow him to enter the apartment.
According to information, the 56-year-old also injured a bystander, who had intervened when Ndoj shot his daughter.
The two injured are receiving treatment in hospital and are out of danger.
Police are working to apprehend the 56-year-old.
"On 26.01.2026, at around 10:03, citizen MN, 56 years old, under still unclear circumstances, injured his daughter, citizen Xh. N., 24 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 12, Durrës, on the street with a cutting tool (knife).
Citizen OM, a passerby who intervened when the father injured his daughter with a cutting tool (knife), was also injured.
The injured are at the Durrës Regional Hospital, under the care of doctors, and their lives are out of danger.
Work is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident, identify and capture the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, police services are continuing their work to capture the 56-year-old man," the police announced.
