The owner of a hotel in Borsh has been arrested by police after threatening two of his employees with a firearm. Emanuel Shkëmbi was placed in handcuffs, after he verbally clashed with two employees, AO and RO, a mother and daughter, and threatened them with a firearm.
It is learned that the incident occurred the day before on the hotel premises.
His father, A.Sh, who hit a citizen with the initials AK, has also been placed under investigation. Another person, with the initials PB, has also been placed under investigation, who is accused of hiding the firearm after the conflict.
The circumstances of the incident are still unknown, while the police say they have also seized a pistol firearm, 1 pistol magazine, and 8 9 mm cartridges.
"On 25.08.2025, the services of the Himara Police Commissariat successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "THE GUNE", which made it possible to arrest citizen Emanuel Shkëmbi in flagrante delicto.
This citizen was arrested after, during a verbal conflict with workers at his hotel in Borsh, Himara, he threatened citizens AO and RO, a mother and daughter, with a pistol-type firearm.
His father, citizen A.Sh, the author's father, was also acquitted after he hit citizen AK and physically abused her.
Citizen PB was also criminally prosecuted for hiding the firearm after the conflict.
The following was seized as material evidence:
- 1 Pistol type firearm.
- 1 Pistolet comb.
- 8 9mm cartridges.
The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Threat", "Other intentional damage" and "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth", provided for by Articles 278, 84, 90 and 301 of the Criminal Code", the police announced.
