22-year-old Ensi Shtubina has been arrested by the Shkodra police after being wanted for assault.
The young man was carrying a gun while being sought for an incident that occurred in December 2024. Police have seized his pistol and ammunition.
The security measure "Arrest in prison" was imposed on him, after on 23.12.2024, during a momentary conflict, in the "Skënderbeg" neighborhood, Ensi Shtubina wounded citizen Arens Beqiri with a firearm.
"He was carrying a pistol with him, while he was being searched for the gunshot wound to a 24-year-old man. In December 2024, the 22-year-old was arrested. The pistol and its ammunition were seized."
As a result of the intensification of patrols throughout the territory of the district, and the work of police intelligence, with the aim of ascertaining cases when citizens with criminal records move armed to commit criminal acts, the services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat finalized the police operation codenamed "Contingent".
As part of this operation, citizen E. Sh., 22 years old, resident of Shkodra, was arrested in the "Rus" neighborhood. During the physical search, a firearm, a pistol with ammunition, was found on him.
Further verifications revealed that this citizen was under the security measure "Arrest in prison", as he is accused of having wounded citizen AB with a firearm on 23.12.2024, during a momentary conflict, in the "Skënderbeg" neighborhood.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
