A new request filed by attorney Gentian Romano, representing defendant Henrik Hoxhaj, aims to re-interrogate justice associate Erion Alibej.
Henrik Hoxhaj was Nuredin Dumani's main arm in carrying out contract killings on the Durrës, Rrogozhina, Tirana, Elbasan road segment.
Henrik Hoxhaj himself appeared in today's hearing with a crutch, while he also took with him a pair of beige prayer beads, which he waved the entire time his lawyer, Gentian Romano, spoke.
As presented by the lawyers in the courtroom, the court, in the first session, made a decision to close the procedural phase of Erjon Alibej's questioning.
But according to lawyer Romano, the full exhaustion of his question has not been completed and in the circumstances where other questions and new evidence have arisen, it should be repeated for a few more moments.
Romano and attorney Elda Zotaj have requested that the court revoke the decision taken a session earlier, allowing the continuation of the interrogation of the prosecution's collaborator, Erjon Alibej.
In addition to this request, the two aforementioned lawyers presented to the court a list of persons who should be called as witnesses in this trial in order to clarify the events and episodic moments of the criminal events.
Thus, the two lawyers Romano and Zotaj requested that the following persons be summoned as witnesses in court:
Megi Skëndaj alias Kila, former friend of Erjon Alibej, Dervish Hasi alias "Hoxha" where the group bought weapons from time to time, Elton Roci alias "Fat Katnari" the man who ambushed Arjan Spahiu in Belgium, Nazmi Shuli former police chief at the Durrës police station, Aleksandër Baho friend of Erjon Alibej where the group bought weapons, Fatmir Troplini, son of Xhevdet Troplini, Arben Spahiu brother-in-law of Erjon Alibej, Arsen Preçi "postman" of Erjon Alibej, Pëllumb Baho father of Sandër Baho, Oltion Fernuti "Pilo", Bujar Gërmizi the "strongman" of Kukës, Agim Karabashi alias "Baca" who sheltered Dumani in Gjilan, Kosovo, Agim Gjini, Shaban Zeqiri, Dashnor Dumani brother of Nuredin Dumani, Talo Çela, Dumani's two girlfriends, Gela Kanina and Mirjetë Hajdini, Altin Skëndaj, Erion Nikolla, Kamer Mehja, Flobenc Meçja, Genc Tafili, Leonard Dumi, Lorenc alias Florenc Çapja, former police officer Leonard Palushi, Irfan Idrizi, Artur Hoxhosmani from Burreli arrested by SPAK for drug trafficking, police officer Krenar Guçe, former director of the State Police Ardi Veliu, Leonard Dallkja, lawyer Demir Ciftja, Ilir Lloshi alias "Licja" member of the "Çopja" group, director of serious crimes, Neritan Nallbati.
On the other hand, the prosecutor in the case, Doloreza Musabelliu, requested that the lawyers' request not be accepted, as many witnesses have no connection to the circumstances and facts of the occurrence of serious crimes.
"...The request must be clarified and given in writing so that we, as representatives of the prosecution, can provide our written arguments for any witness who is requested to be called to trial..." - said the prosecutor.
After this, the court headed by Engjëllushe Tahiri withdrew its decision and is currently awaiting a decision on whether or not to accept the decision. /SYRI TV
