
A shocking crime occurred this afternoon in the "Kala" neighborhood in Berat.
A 42-year-old man, who had gone to visit the Berat Castle with his family, was stabbed to death by a 63-year-old man who was offering his horse riding services to tourists in the "Kala" neighborhood.
It is learned that the victim, Keli Hoxha, had a conflict with the perpetrator, Kristo Mema, over the price of the photos and horseback rides his children took, and during the argument, the perpetrator pulled out a knife and shot him several times.
The entire scene took place in the presence of the 42-year-old's children and wife.
After this, the perpetrator left the scene, while 42-year-old Keli Hoxha was transported by ambulance to the Berat Regional Hospital.
He was unable to survive his injuries and died upon arrival at the hospital.
Numerous police officers are conducting a search of the entire perimeter of the Castle to identify the location of the perpetrator, who is still on the run.
