GJKKO dismisses the request of Nikolin Topalli, sentenced to life imprisonment, to be released from the "41 biss" regime.
According to the announcement, the Petitioner Nikolin Topalli on 16.05.2024 submitted to the Court the request with the object: Annulment of the order of the Minister of Justice no. 284 dated 09.05.2024, "On the placement in the special regime of the exercise of rights in the high security prison of the prisoner Nikolin Topalli".
At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judge Erjon Çela, based on articles 112 and 471 et seq. of the Code of Criminal Procedure and article 17 of Law no. 81/2020, dated 25.06.2020 "On the rights and treatment of those sentenced to imprisonment and pre-trial detention", with decision No. 295, dated 18.07.2024, decided:
Dismissal of the request of the petitioner (convict) Nikolin Topalli.
Against this decision, an appeal can be made to the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime within 15 (fifteen) days, starting from the day after the communication of this decision.
