
The parents of the 23-year-old Albanian with special abilities, who died on Monday, July 15 due to high temperatures while in a car in Amarynthos, Evia, were released on bail.
Petrit and Vezire Elezi, 56 and 48 years old, were arrested under the charge of having left their autistic son in the car under high temperatures, who died.
Both parents denied the allegations and said the child was not exposed to high temperatures.
Vasileia Oikonomou, the family's lawyer, told ANT1: "The father did not realize at all that his child had a problem, as he was in a car with the windows down, at 09:00 on Monday.

The parents stayed for three hours at the investigation office, where they apologized.
They said they are devastated by the tragic event, noting that the 23-year-old loved to spend time in the car and always had the windows open while they brought him water and food.
They further emphasized that the time of his transport to the General Hospital of Chalkida from the Aliveri Health Center, in Evia, was what cost him his life.
"He was brought to Halkida at 03:00 in the afternoon, when his condition was not good", continued the lawyer.
