The Special Court rejected the request of a convict, who was placed in a special "41 bis" regime by order of the Ministry of Justice. It is about the convict Erion Veizaj, who, based on the order of the Ministry of Justice, has been isolated in the special regime for a period of 1 year.
Veizaj is serving a sentence for the murder of a policeman, and had asked the GJKKO to cancel the order placing him in solitary confinement. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
"Erjon Musa Veizaj has been sentenced to life imprisonment by Decision No. 879, dated 04.11.2021 of the Elbasan Judicial District Court (Combination of sentences) for the criminal offenses "Intentional murder due to the special qualities of the victim, the police, in cooperation, "Discovering the crime", "Carrying weapons without a permit", "Production and sale of narcotics", "Introducing or keeping prohibited items in the institution of execution of prison sentences", provided by articles 79/c-25, 300, 278/2, 283/1, 324/a/1 to K.Penal.
Decision No. 526 dated 03.11.2022 of the Elbasan Judicial District Court has been sentenced to 2 (two) years of imprisonment for committing the criminal offense "Introduction or possession of prohibited items in an institution provided for by Article 324/a/1 of K. Penal", says an official announcement of the General Directorate of Prisons.
