An Albanian couple has fallen into the handcuffs of the Spanish National Police, after they were caught in a shepherd's house in the town of Ador. According to the information, the arrested are a woman and a man, respectively 22 and 27 years old, of Albanian origin.
They are accused of crimes against public health and theft of electricity. The police seized 809 marijuana plants weighing more than 177 kilograms.
The investigations carried out by the agents of the National Forensic Police Brigade of the Gandia National Police Station began after they learned early last month that marijuana could be grown in a house in the town of Ador. The police placed a surveillance device near the property, verifying that a strong smell characteristic of this substance was coming from it, in addition to observing other objective signs that indicated that marijuana was growing inside the villa. Likewise, agents identified a couple as the regular occupants of the home.
Ultimately, the operation culminated in the entry and control of the investigated property, which was almost entirely devoted to the cultivation of marijuana plants. Inside they located three plantations in an advanced stage of cultivation, as well as electrical and plumbing installations that served them. In total, 809 marijuana plants weighing over 177 kilograms were seized.
