Following the work to identify and attack illegal activities in the field of economic and financial crimes, based on the information provided by the police intelligence, the coded police operation "Dental" was organized and finalized.
During the operation, in neighborhood no. 9, the Police services checked the vehicle driven by the citizen B. Xh., in which they found dental implants, equipment and materials, without the corresponding invoices, worth about 50,000 euros, which were seized as material evidence, together with the vehicle and a sum of money.
At the end of the procedural actions, the citizen B. Xh., 47 years old, resident in Vlora, was arrested, who is suspected of storing and selling, in violation of the law, dental implants and suspected smuggled materials.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further actions, for the criminal offenses "Smuggling with other goods", "Trading and transporting goods that are contraband", "Storage or depositing contraband" , "Concealment of income" and "Non-payment of taxes and duties" , the police announced.
