New details emerge from the murder of 58-year-old Renato Hoxhaj in Vlora.
It is learned that the area where the victim had his house was located in a highly coveted location for new construction, and it is precisely this clue that has prompted authorities to investigate a possible connection to the murder.
Sources close to Hoxhaj's family have stated that he had recently appeared worried after receiving various threats to give up the land for construction, but had not accepted.
Just a few meters from the victim's apartment, a multi-story building has been built where apartment prices are high, reaching around 1,500 euros per square meter.
It is learned that the police are questioning several people about this plot, including the owner of the building built next to his apartment, to verify whether such a request exists from him or not.
According to the same sources, in contact with relatives, the victim stated that he was receiving threats against his house with the intention of building there, but he was resisting.
This case is being investigated more intensively due to the fact that Hoxhaj had no other problems and was known in the area as a calm and respectable man.
Meanwhile, his adult children have not had much contact with him as they have been living abroad for years and the only contact has been by phone.
