The decision of the Court of Elbasan, which gave the opportunity to the former Minister of the Interior, Saimir Tahiri, to leave the premises of the cell and to continue his sentence in his apartment in Tirana has been revealed.
In the letter, judge Matilda Fetau reasons that Saimir Tahiri still has 1 year and 8 months and 15 days of unserved sentence and will serve it from his apartment in Tirana in the area of Kodra e Diellit.
The decision of the Court of Elbasan on the release of Saimir Tahir:
" 1. Acceptance of the request.
Convicted Saimir Bashkim Tahiri, born on 30.10.1979, based on Article 59/a,
Decided
Letter "b" of the Criminal Code, the unserved part of the prison sentence of 1 (one) year, 8 (eight) months and 15 (fifteen) days, to be served with "Staying at home", at the residential address: Street " Kodra e Diellit", building No. 3, Tirana Municipality.
3. Convict Saimir Bashkim Tahiri is allowed to leave his place of residence during the period of stay at home to meet the necessary family needs, which the Probation Service agrees on.
The immediate release of the convict Saimir Bashkim Tahiri, from further serving his sentence in the IEVP Kosovë Lushnje, is ordered, in accordance with this decision, if he is not arrested or convicted for committing any other criminal offense. 5. A copy of this decision should be sent to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Elbasan General Jurisdiction for its implementation and to the Institution for the Execution of Criminal Decisions Kosovo, Lushnje", says the decision of the Elbasan Court .
